The Face: #1

Little "Face of the Day" post coming your way!
My foundation looks so much better on the pictures than it did in real life, if i may say so myself ... but then again, I used one of these little sample sachets of a Dior foundation you sometimes get when buying makeup, and it was maybe half a shade or a shade too dark for me, oops. On top of that I used a translucent powder (essence all about matt! fixing compact powder- it's a total bargain for around 3€ in drugstores) and I think it did lighten up the foundation a little bit, so yay!
On my cheeks I used the Sleek contour kit in light- both the contour shade and the highlighter, and for blush I used a KIKO blush from last summer's limited edition.
I did my brows with my MAC fluidline gelcreme in Deep Dark Brunette as per usual, and for eyes I used the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (shades Foxy, Suspect, Verve and Busted). For the waterline, I used Rimmel's Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal pencil in the nude shade, and for mascara I wore the Rimmel Lash Accelerator
On my lips I wanted a really bright and summery shade, so I went for MAC's Show Orchid, a really bright pink with an Amplified finish.

Close-up of the eyeshadow at a very unflattering angle for my knobbly nose ;)

Spent the day with my parents who visited me in Vienna- we went to IKEA and I probably got the most commonly discussed piece of furniture in the beauty blogger world- the ALEX drawer unit that everyone and their mother seems to have. I never really thought I needed it, but my bedroom seems to be getting messier and messier so I wanted some more storage space, so I hope we can put that up as soon as possible.
I'll be in my hometown again for the weekend which I'm very glad about since it's very hot in Vienna and the nights are so warm that falling asleep becomes a real hassle- the nights are much cooler where I'm from even though it's only a 1 1/2 hours car ride away from Vienna.

Enough chatting, that's it from me today- have a lovely evening!
