Neglected Product: Inglot Freedom System Palette

I'm sure everybody has these products in their stash that they totally neglect even though they're actually really nice. Today's post highlights one of these products of my own stash: my Inglot Freedom System Palette.

The concept of these palettes is great- it's a build-your-own type of deal where you get to choose from different sizes of palettes and fill them up with eyeshadows from the absolutely huge range of Inglot eyeshadows. The palettes, the eyeshadow pans and the lid are all magnetic, and it's a very very strong magnet. With these palettes, there's definitely no problem with the lid accidentally opening in your makeup bag ... which is great, but there's just one problem: I have never quite figured out how to get the shadows out of the palette again, even though it's meant to be pretty easy to get them out of the pan with the magnetic lid of the palette- personally, I never managed. So unfortunately, I can't tell you the names of the shadows in my palette.

I think the reason why I practically never use this is the fact that at the time I bought it, I never thought about sticking a neutral shade into the palette. I do wear purples, greens and golden hues all the time, but mostly in combination with neutrals. Even though the green and the golden shadow go nicely together (it looks very christmas-y though), I never really wear them together.

It's really a shame, because Inglot eyeshadows have excellent quality and come in a number of finishes- it's all very similar to MAC, but way cheaper and you get a lot more product for your money.

As you can see, these eyeshadows are very nicely pigmented; the green and the gold both have a satiny shimmer finish while the base of the purple is pretty much matte but has golden microglitter in it.

Looking at my little palette again, I definitely want to put it to use more often- so I guess I'll make a point to put it on my dressing table where it's visible and easy to reach for in the hopes I get more use out of it in the future!

Do you have products that you neglect but really shouldn't?
