The Wet Brush: Magic?!

Almost a year ago, I watched a YouTube video by Rachel Whitehurst where she basically gushes about this brush for six and a half minutes. Now, I've been following Rachel for a few years now and I know she's as honest as people get on YouTube, so I knew this thing called "the Wet Brush" must really be something magical.

I don't know when I consciously decided to grow out my hair, and a year ago it wasn't that much of an issue, but now that it has grown moderately long, it gets so very tangly. My hair in general is very thick and full, so naturally the longer it got, the harder it was to brush. First, brushing was only an issue when my hair was wet, but in the past few months I noticed that even in its dry state, my hair sometimes resembled a haystack and was really hard to brush- especially in the morning. I basically only used a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair, but it got tedious very fast. So I thought to myself, "Hey, if Rachel said the wet brush is magic, maybe this is the right time to order it!".

A few days later, my very own wet brush arrived- together with my XCSOURCE brushes and a lipstick tray (post will follow):

After using it for a week, I have come to the conclusion that this brush is indeed magical and probably made out of fairy dust. I don't know what it is, and how exactly it works- because this thing looks like a total basic bitch brush- but somehow, this detangles and brushes wet hair like a boss.

I first tried it out on dry hair, and even then I thought that it was really nice and brushed through my hair much more smoothly than any comb or brush before. But it did really surprise me when I first tried it on towel-dry hair after a wash- it just glides through wet hair and leaves it straight and smooth without tugging and tearing. This really is the fascinating bit: it doesn't only make brushing your hair a breeze, but it also yanks out little to no hair at all in the process! MAGIC.

As you can see, I am very, very pleased with my order and would absolutely recommend the Wet Brush to everyone with long, tangly hair! At around 9-11€ depending on the retailer, this also doesn't break the bank either- I got mine on Amazon.
