You might have noticed that I've given up on my Sunday roundup posts around the end of 2014. That's mostly because every Sunday, I would feel obligated to get that post done when actually, I would have preferred to spend it with family & friends and not think about it. I think if you have to pressure yourself to post on your own blog, it's never a good thing. So I thought instead of having an obligatory Sunday post each week, I'll only post when I actually do something that I feel like is worth posting about!
Yesterday my friend Pezi and I decided we wanted to spend some time together and go out for breakfast/brunch - but when I woke up today, looked out of my window and saw that it was snowing, and I insantly regretted that decision! I mean, who wants to leave their cozy, snuggly, perfectly warm bed and go out into the cold? Exactly. I did manage to get up however, and I'm glad I did!
We went for breakfast to a café called Point of Sale which is in Vienna's 4th district Wieden (the full adress is Schleifmühlgasse 12-14, 1040 Vienna). I wanted to go somewhere I haven't been before, so Pezi suggested this place as she knew it already and liked the food. They have a really big selection of breakfast treats featuring dishes from different cuisines of the world which is really cool, but also very 'classic' choices as well. I also love the area it's located in as it's known to be the more artsy area of Vienna, and there's a lot of small nice-looking cafés in the surroundings.
Even though it was really cold, we still took a little stroll through Vienna's 1st district were all the pretty buildings are located in - although I must say, the beautiful architecture is not limited to that part of the city! It was a really nice, relaxing start into this Sunday - and now I'm back home watching the snow outside from my snuggly couch, which is also pretty fantastic.
Hope you're all having a great Sunday! :)
SOOOO beautiful pictures!!! Oh Vienna really is a great city :) - and your friend Pezi looks so very good on the pics.
ReplyDeleteI've just got one question concerning the café, you said the food is good and they really have a great selection, but what about the prices, is it as expensive as for example the Aumann in the 18th district, or is it more affordable??? xx Paty
Oh thanks Paty! :D It really depends on what you're ordering, I actually don't think the breakfast stuff at Aumann is very expensive compared to the rest of the menu, so I guess it's similar or a little cheaper maybe! :) xx
Deleteah okay - thanks very much :*
DeleteLovely photos. Seems like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThis is probably one of the best ways to spend a day (:
Followed you, hope you'd like to follow back.

Thanks for your comment, Danielle! :) Yep, it was a great way to spend the day even though it was so freezing outside! :D
DeleteSure I'll follow back! :) x
This is a really great idea for a post :). It is far better to post about what you enjoy rather than feel obligated! The omlette (?!) with olives looks delicious. I only tried my first olive a few months ago and now I can't get enough of them, especially haldiki olives with feta and sundried tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much - it was a really spontaneous decision to take my camera with me, but I'm glad I did! :)
DeleteYes it's an omelette with all kinds of stuff in it, I think it was part of the Greek inspired breakfast menu my friend ordered! I have to admit that I'm not a fan of olives or tomatoes, haha - but visually that omelette was very pleasing, that's for sure! :D
