February Favourites

Guys, I've managed to remember that February is ending when it actually still was February! I have the weird urge to pat myself on the back, because normally I always realise that I should have put up a favourites post when the new month has already begun, and then I get really annoyed with myself for not noticing. But I digress, let's talk about my pretty small selection of favourites for the month of February!

# Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette - I feel like I'm switching between eyeshadow palettes quite a lot, or at least I try to for the sake of diversity and actually using the products I have. Every other month I still come back to this because it's just so convenient, effortless and pretty. My only gripe with the Naked 2 (and also with Naked 1 and 3 even though I don't own them) is the lack of matte shades. Foxy and Tease are both great matte shades which I use a lot; Blackout, although beautiful in formula, I don't touch very often because I rarely use black shadow. I feel like all the classic Naked palettes could do with a fourth matte shade, but other than that I'm still in love with this.

# MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Deep Dark Brunette - This is such a constant product choice in my daily routine that I tend to forget about it, take it for granted and don't mention it much on this blog except for listing it in my The Face posts. I especially wanted to include this brow product because when my friend Dani told me she forgot hers in her hometown before coming back to Vienna last week, we both noticed how addicted we are to this stuff! I know there's a lot of variations of these brow gel pots on the market right now; recently Illamasqua have brought out their version and I hear the Anastasia one is also very popular. To me, the MAC formula is perfect because of it's longevity and ease of application; it also lasts for ages, I bought this little pot last Summer and I'm yet to hit pan.

# Essence Lipliner in Cute Pink & Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Amazing Grace - I bought a bunch of differently coloured lipliners when I got into lipsticks years ago; this Essence one was one of them. I never really paid much attention to it though, but this month I noticed that it works really nicely with my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Amazing Grace. Yes, it is a tad pinker while Amazing Grace leans a bit into the coral side of the colour spectrum, but they work beautifully together nonetheless! These two layered over one another was my favourite lipstick combination over the last month; it also shows that sometimes ridiculously cheap (Essence) and ridiculously pricey (Charlotte, oh Charlotte, I wish your products were cheaper ...) go very well together!

# KIKO Velvet Touch Cream Stick Blush in Geranium - I have just talked about this in my previous post where it's all about finding the right makeup brushes to match your favourite products. Now that I know the best way of applying this little gem, I use it a lot more frequently than before! It actually has a beautiful formula that blends easily when applied with a stippling brush and leaves a pretty peachy flush on your cheeks! Here's the in-depth review

# My Gym Membership - The time has come. I have sold my soul to the gym next door. Considering that I've lived in my flat for almost three years now, that I can actually see people train when I look out of my window and have succeeded to completely ignore the option of going there myself, this is actually a big step. It's not that I hate sports at all - I've enthusiasitcally played Volleyball for 8 years in school - it's just easier to lie on your couch watching the newest TV series, that's all. That being said, after I've finally kicked myself in the ass, I actually enjoy going! Hope it sticks.
