Ever since I bought the KIKO Velvet Touch Cream Stick Blush in 06 Geranium, I thought about getting one of their creamy stick highlighters as well. Since I'm always on a budget, it still took me a few months to actually buy this one - now that I have it, I wish I bought it sooner!

Repurchased: "Madame" by Jean Paul Gaultier
I don't post about perfume often, but I have a post about my favourite A/W fragrance (Burberry Brit), so I figured it was time for a Spring/Summer update. A few weeks ago I repurchased my favourite scent for pretty much every occasion: "Madame" by Jean Paul Gaultier.

Empty Products #5 - Makeup
I'm back with part two of my empties posts for this month! Part one featuring a lot of skincare was up earlier this week, you can check it out here if you missed it.
I emptied a few makeup bits and pieces over the past few months, which was mostly due to me not buying new stuff and focusing on the things I already had. It's quite satisfying to finish makeup products I think, and now that my drawers are a bit emptier, I guess adding a few new things is justifiable ...? But for now, on to my makeup empties:

Empty Products #5 - Skincare
I have this little drawer on my IKEA dressing table that I put my empty products in. These past few days I noticed that it was already jam-packed with empty tubes, bottles and pots, so it was high time for another empty products post. This time I actually have so much stuff that I want to split it up into two posts, one featuring exclusively skincare, the other one makeup. As you can see, today's post is about all the skincare I finished in the past few months!

Why I Stopped Being A Music Snob & Why Guilty Pleasures Rock
This might be an odd title for a post, but I've been thinking about this concept for quite a while now. As you all know, I enjoy music as much as the next person. Why else would I blog about it, or write a whole MA thesis about the topic? Exactly. When I was a teenager and just discovered rock music - which, at that point, in my opinion, was the only 'true' genre of popular music that was worth listening to - I was quite the music snob. I thought my taste in music was so much more refined and clearly above those who enjoyed electronic music or the typical "charts" music. What a bunch of bullshit that is!

Review: KIKO Dark Circle Concealer
I'm back with another KIKO product to add to your shopping lists, people! This time, it's a complexion product - the Dark Circle Concealer. I've seen snippets of this before online and was quite intrigued by the look of it. KIKO brought out a whole line of undereye concealers and correctors (see the rest on their website here and here), and originally I wanted to get the yellow Dark Circle Tone Eraser, and I could have sworn I put that in my basket ... but somehow I ended up with the Dark Circle Concealer in 01 Porcelain. I think it has something to do with my mum and I both wanting to get one of them in different shades and some mix up happened. Oh well - at least I still ended up with the right shade! On to my review ...

Review: MAC Cockney Lipstick
Who can resist a red lipstick? Not me, that's for sure.
I actually didn't buy MAC Cockney though - it was more part of a swap that I did with my mum. Even though she likes the colour, she never really wears red, whereas I like to wear red lipsticks all year around. So when she asked if I wanted this gem for my makeup bag in exchange for other things I do not wear, I couldn't really say no, right? And while I was at it, I wanted to do a post about it too!

What I Learned in the Past 5+ Years At University
Graduating university in March felt like the end of a big chapter in my life - big enough to justify a post about it anyways. I've been wanting to write a post about all the things I learned during my time at university for a long time now, and now I feel like I'm in the right mindset to do it. It won't all be strictly university related; more like a few things I've learned during the past five/six years since moving out and attending uni. This post might be more of a cathartic exercise for me than anything else, but maybe it does help some of you as well, who knows? So here's some words of wisdom by me ...
