Empty Products #5 - Makeup

Review KIKO Natural Concealer, KIKO Ultra Tech Curve Mascara, Essence All About Matt Translucent Powder, Catrice Illuminating Blush
I'm back with part two of my empties posts for this month! Part one featuring a lot of skincare was up earlier this week, you can check it out here if you missed it.
I emptied a few makeup bits and pieces over the past few months, which was mostly due to me not buying new stuff and focusing on the things I already had. It's quite satisfying to finish makeup products I think, and now that my drawers are a bit emptier, I guess adding a few new things is justifiable ...? But for now, on to my makeup empties:

Review KIKO Natural Concealers

KIKO Natural Concealers in 01 and 02
I bought these two concealers at the same time towards the end of last year; I used 01 mostly for concealing/brightening my undereye area, and 02 for blemishes and redness on the rest of my face. They both lasted me for about the same time, but I remember finishing 01 a bit earlier. I really liked the formula of these concealers, they had the right amount of coverage and blended easily into the skin. My only problem with these concealers is the little amount of product you get - they seriously are tiny. They were on offer when I bought them though, so I didn't mind too much. I would technically repurchase, but right now I'm using another KIKO concealer which I've reviewed here

Review Catrice Absolute Matt Powder

Review Essence All About Matt! Translucent Fixing Compact

Catrice All About Matt Powder & Essence All About Matt! Translucent Fixing Compact Powder
I also finished two face powders that I've had for absolutely ages. I know, technically they're not completely finished, but it's getting really tiresome to try and scrape some leftover powder from the edges of the compacts. Plus, both of the lids actually broke over time, so the compacts are very flimsy now and bound to make a mess ... so I decided to finally chuck them. I'm not overly fussy when it comes to powder, and I'm usually happy with whatever I decide to buy - I don't stick with a brand or a specific powder normally, and they both did their job. Catrice does great "coloured" face powders, and I think the Essence translucent powder is a great bargain product as well. Would technically repurchase, but I bought a different Catrice powder for now!

Review Catrice Illuminating Blush I Am Nuts About You

Yeah ... so this was a bit of a fail. As you can see, I broke one of my favourite Catrice blushes because I'm a clumsy idiot. I don't even know how it happened, I just know that a few days ago, I grabbed this and somehow I dropped it. Sigh. I know there's ways to fix broken powders, but I've tried before with eyeshadow and it just didn't work out and left more of a mess than it did any good. I really loved this blush though - you can click on the link above and it will take you to my initial review - so I will definitely go have a look and see if Catrice still stock the same shade. It was amazingly pigmented and such a flattering colour, so I'm sad to see this one go!

Review KIKO Ultra Tech Curve Mascara

KIKO Ultra Tech Curve Mascara
I picked this up on a whim because it was on offer when I was in the KIKO store a few months ago. I never read a review before, I just went by the "besteller product" tag that it had in store. And I must say, I was not disappointed! It's a great mascara with a formula that's neither too dry, nor to wet, that comes with a curved wand - my favourite. Mascara is another makeup category that I'm not very fussy about and I always like to try new things, but I would definitely pick this one up again, especially if it was on offer!

Whoop, there we go, I managed to go through all of my empties! Did you finish any makeup products lately? :)
