I don't post about perfume often, but I have a post about my favourite A/W fragrance (Burberry Brit), so I figured it was time for a Spring/Summer update. A few weeks ago I repurchased my favourite scent for pretty much every occasion: "Madame" by Jean Paul Gaultier.
It's actually an eau the toilette rather than an eau the perfume - it's cheaper that way, and I also prefer my scents to not be extremely heavy. Somehow, it seems to be on offer quite frequently in the store I usually buy it from, so I'm pretty happy about that. Generally, I think the price varies from around 30-40 € for 30 ml depending on where you get it from and whether or not it is on offer.
I love the packaging of all the Gaultier perfumes, but what I especially like about Madame is that while it incorporates the design of the female body that the scents of the Classique range have for example, it's actually only part of a more classic bottle.
The scent itself is described as fresh and floral, with notes of orange zest, sparkling rose, musk and cedar wood. Ever since first trying it, I have always liked that while it is a floral scent, it does still smell distinctively different than most of the more basic flower scents you can get. It is a very fresh scent, so I suppose it's more of a Spring/Summer scent, but I have to admit I like to wear it all year around.
So far, this is the only perfume that I have repurchased more than once (or at all, I think!), and I don't see myself stopping when I'm finished with this new bottle. I find it's always hard to explain a scent and why you like it as much as you do, but it seems like I'm not the only one in my family who likes it - my mum loves it as well! Good thing she has her own bottle now, because she always used to steal it from me ...
Do you have a favourite scent for Spring/Summer? Let me know in the comments! :)
