Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Palette

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Palette Review Swatches

There comes a time in every girl's life where she has to admit to herself that she owns enough eyeshadow palettes. And even though I already did that, and I know that I don't need this many eyeshadow palettes ... I went ahead and ordered two more by Makeup Revolution. Deep sighs. I'm weak. Then again, I always lusted after the Lorac Pro palette which is just very hard to come by in Europe, so when I saw that Makeup Revolution had a dupe, I knew it was inevitable!

The Iconic Pro palette is a not very subtle dupe of the Lorac Pro palette - I have to admit, I kind of love how Makeup Revolution just take every popular highend palette on the market, make their own version and sell it for 1/3 of the price. Genius! The layout of the palette is brilliant: Top row completely matte, bottom row shimmery - and most of the shades are corresponding as well.

If you're looking for gorgeous, blendable, matte neutral shades then the top row alone is reason enough to buy this palette. Apart from featuring great highlighting shades for the browbone (Ghost, Luna, Enigma), awesome crease colours (Must, Fade, Drama) and two for some added drama (Afflicted, Pitch), I suppose some of them would work great as eyebrow powders as well. Yay multi-purpose!

Apart from the shadows being gorgeous, I'm also a big fan of the packaging. It's black, sleek, sturdy and has a big mirror inside. Basically perfect for travelling! It also features a brush that is not as useless as most brushes/sponge applicators that come with drugstore palettes. It's double-ended too, and while it's not the best brush I've ever used, you can definitely work with it.

So basically: If you like the look of these swatches and always wanted that Lorac Pro palette but it's just not available where you live, try Makeup Revolution. As far as I know, they ship worldwide, and trust me, it's not hard to get to free shipping once you say all the awesome things on their website. Makeup Revolution is definitely becoming one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands - they seem to be coming out with new products all the time, so I'm excited to see what's up next!
